How soccer player props work on Payday Fantasy: when a pick is action, how shots, saves and tackles are counted, and what happens with subs, extra time and penalty shootouts.
Payday Fantasy · Product
The short answer: a soccer prop on Payday is a MORE or LESS pick on one player's stat line, like shots on goal or goalie saves. The two rules that matter most are that the player must start the match for the pick to count, and that extra time counts but a penalty shootout doesn't.
Soccer picks go into the same entries as the rest of the board. Pick 2 to 10 players from at least two different teams, mix in other sports if you want, and play it as MAX (every pick must hit) or FLEX (you can miss one or two and still get paid).
| Stat | What counts |
|---|---|
| Goals | The ball crosses the line and the referee confirms the goal. Own goals don't count for the defender. |
| Assists | A pass that leads directly to a goal, including from a corner, throw-in or free kick. No assist on a penalty goal. |
| Shots | Every attempt, on or off target, including blocked shots and penalties or free kicks in regular time. |
| Shots on Goal | Shots that score or force a save. A deflected shot that's saved still counts for the shooter. |
| Passes Attempted | Every intentional pass, completed or not: short, long, through balls, crosses and back passes. |
| Goalie Saves | Shots on target the keeper stops that would otherwise have gone in. |
| Goals Against | Every goal conceded while the keeper is on the pitch, deflections included. |
| Tackles | Successful tackles that win the ball from an opponent. |
| Clearances | Times the player clears the ball out of his defensive zone, usually with a kick or header. |
| Interceptions | Opponent passes the player cuts out. |
| Defensive Blocks | Opponent shots the player blocks before they reach goal. |
| Penalty Kicks | Penalties attempted. A scored penalty also counts as a goal. |
One detail on own goals: if a defender knocks the ball into his own net, he isn't credited with a shot or a shot on goal. If an attacker's shot is deflected in by a defender, the attacker still gets the shot and the shot on goal.
Stats from extra time count toward your pick. Stats from a penalty shootout after extra time don't, so a shootout goal won't add to a Goals or Shots line.

Yes. Soccer picks need the player in the starting XI. If he starts on the bench, the pick is voided even if he plays later.
No. Leaving for cards, tactics or fatigue is normal play, so the pick is graded on the stats he had. Only a first-half injury substitution voids it.
The pick stands. A void only applies when the injury substitution happens before halftime. Changes made at halftime or at the start of the second half count as normal play.
No. Extra-time stats count, but nothing from a penalty shootout does.
Yes. A penalty scored in regular or extra time counts as a goal, and the attempt also counts toward the Penalty Kicks stat. Nobody gets an assist on a penalty goal.
